Some businesses get overwhelmed with orders & shipping delays over the holiday period (Christmas) every year. And this year, in online searching for some products, I've even seen one business openly state that they'd not ship anything within a few days of Christmas, due to the shipping demands of the holidays. I've always disliked trying to order much of anything until after Jan. 1, as there are often delays in either shipping or in product availability. I placed an order via the 'big river' site prior to Christmas, but am waiting until mid-late January for it to be delivered, according to their estimation of the shipping date. As in your case, my card hasn't yet been charged for the order. I'd be more concerned if they did and I still had to wait a long while. But for now, I'll just patiently wait for the shipping notice to come.
