First try with tristone sharpening system.

After a few practice runs with a beat up mora and old condor bush knife. I felt confident in being able sharpen up some of my beckers.

tristone, leather strop, rubbing compound and honing oil.

I am very pleased with the tristone sharpeing system. First time I was able to get it razor sharp in 15 mins.

Looks like it works quite well. I have an old Smith's stone that I've been meaning to replace. I'll have to check out the Tristone online.

Very good. It looks like a decent system.

For the price of the tristone and piece of leather under 25 bucks. This setup is great for the beginner sharpener.

This rat one was my first victim. Had some chips and a couple of folds. But i worked my way from coarse to fine then a light stroping.

Does anyone have experience with Smith and Lansky? Is the Lansky worth double the price???

The Tri-Hone is a nice rig. The one I won in HunterSharp's contest is getting a lot of use and I'm impressed with it.

It might just be the pictures, but your coarse stone looks yellow. And mine is green/blue, when did you buy yours?
