I wanted to make some thing like the Japanese styled "paper knives" and decided to flat-forge some 1/4" round bar Silver Steel (??? 52100 with vanadium). I guess they could be neck knives, capers, etc. (Just thought of Jens Anso's "Nasty Neckers.")

These knives are VERY SMALL. Bigger one - 5" OAL, 1.5" blade. Small one - 4" with 3/4" blade. Both are about 3/32" thick and have a slight taper to the butt end. I just left the handle profile exactly as forged to shape. I'll be making some more like these but using 3/8" round bar.

What do you guys think of these ? Jason.

I really like these. A pocket fixed blade is a great knife to carry around. What kind of sheath are you going to make?

I like the rustic look a lot. Seem very like they would work well for EDC.

Jason, I think those knives look very handy. I love fixed blade edc's and those are just about perfect :).
