The special project list shows 4 700 series from SMKW (701sm,703sm,705sm,709sm). It just says "SMKW logo." Does anyone know what these looked like? There were in the year 2000.

The May 2000 BCCI had some additional information which seems to indicate the logo used was Buck's old logo, not SMKW logo. 144 of each made would make them pretty rare. I'll be on the hunt for 700's with a 2000 date symbol, and the script Buck logo.

Thanks. I have been looking at 1999 and 2000 but don't see anything yet. I am very curious about it.

well. 2000 was about the time they were starting to be discontinued. I see 1999 blades with no shield or the BUCK shield. I don't think I've seen a 2000 blade, at least for 701s. So anything with the old shield with 1999 or 2000 could be the SMKW. Maybe they ordered them for gifts for their empkoyees , since they were about to be discontinued.

Perhaps I'm having a senior moment here...what is meant by the "old logo"?
Are we talking about the shield or tang markings?

addendum...just for interest, an old post I made

700 Timeline (based on the catalogs)

1979 703 Colt
1981 701 Mustang
1982 705, 709
1983 704, the 701 Mustang is renamed Bronco
1999 last year for 704
2000 701, 703, 705, 709 shown without handle shields, last year 701 shown
2001 703, 705, 709 shown without handle shields
2002 no longer shown

I have some in my collection with brass frames but don't see them in the catalog.

yes, but it is conceivable that in 2000, blades would be marked as 1999 - but have not shield. I have some of those. I also know about the brass frames but it isn't clear how that got initiated (SFO?). When I look at the Special Projects List for 2000, it just says they have SMKW log. But someone else told me that SMKW ordered them with the script logo. So, now, I'm assuming (perhaps falsely) that if I see a 1999 or 2000 700 series with the old script logo, it would be the SMKW SFO. Since they made only 140 of each, it is unlikely to easily find any on them.

Old logo means the shield with the script old english Buck as opposed to the block Buck.
