David is correct in his ID. This must be a SMKWs special order, is it in the new BUCK catalog? Long nail 'pulls' were found on most 1900's folding knives, sort of a industry standard. They were stamped in the blade as its shape was stamped out. Small nail nic's are usually cut in after some degree of blade shaping has occurred. More toward the middle or end of the blade making process. Some of you correct me but I don't think a 110 ever had a long pull, it went from no nic to small nic. Small nic's are usually ground by auto machine. You can easily see this operation if you ever get to take the tour of the Buck factory.
Wonder who came up with the idea for the 110 pictured ? Long nics were on the 307s only because Camillus made them. In the 300s at least all Buck made models were always small nail nics......In the past long pulls were talked about weakening the spine of a blade. I have never seen that or even any photo evidence. I like long pulls, one reason there are no grind marks showing...300
