This is a "office" use knife, mostly cutting enevelopes open and such.
How about gang,
What can you tell me about them ?

AND...
ARe the Shrade knives they have the new "Taylor made in china" knives or the old USA ones I use to buy ?

also They have some Smith and Wesson pocket knives for real cheap ? The ad says 440c steel ? What do you guys know about them ?

Good knife hunting

You really have to wade through the crap in the SMKW catalog any more to find good quality knives. I have been getting it for years now and the downward slope continues. Every once in a while they have good knives for good prices, but before you buy always bounce the knives you're looking for off of ebay first. They have good customer service and fast shipping, though. A lot of the Remington knives are made in China any more, I handled a few when I was in Sevierville at the main store, the fit and finish on some were very poor, but for the price they might make good users. The higher end stuff was good, the bullet knives and such, but the user stuff was of poorer quality. As far as Schrade goes, they specify (although in SMALL writing) if it is Taylor made or in BIG writing if it is the last of the old stuff. Remember, they bought a ton of left over parts and had knives thrown together for them to sell off, so be careful. Good users, poor collectibles. As far as S&W stuff goes, in my worthless opinion, it is mostly crap. They have some pretty good deals on Victorinox knives in this catalog, they have a Craftsman TL29 that I might pick up, but this catalog is slim pickin's as far as I'm concerned. Funny, in the store itself they have a ton of excellent knives, but in the catalog they seem to load up the crap.

At one time they had both, now I see "seconds" of Schrades on the website that I believe were assembled from "USA" parts, but most of thier Schrades now are the new Taylor ones. They usually do a fair job of saying on the website which ones were made overseas.

If your talking about the new S&W slipjoints in Stag and Bone, the ones I have handled at shows were actually pretty good. Haven't really used one hard, but they make a Sowbelly that is the same knife as the Schrade Classics Sowbelly with sheep horn, same knife just one says S&W the other Schrade and I have used one of those for about a month and so far it's a winner.

I'm listening hard guys just that in the pics they look soooo pretty..... and the price whoa..... 440 c is ok for me ........but and there always seems to be a but.............. I got several old timers , uncle henrys Bucks cammilus and bulldog slipjoints I like the good old steel of my old slipjoints
