Just browsing Smoky Mountain Knife Works' website and noticed they have no Taylor-Schrade Old Timer knives. Wonder what's up.

Could be sold out? Maybe discontinued? Maybe couldn't compete with eBay dealers (sweet irony, if true)? Maybe people weren't willing to pay full price for Chinese imports?

Wondering if anyone else noticed...

FYI, since United went out of business, the Rigid Executive pocketknives (another Old Timer imitator) are on closeout. I might order one for comparison purposes.

The United (Arrowhead) knives I've examined were good knives. I have one of their sharpfinger clones, and it is well done.

Yeah that's strange, Maybe their waiting to put them in a warehouse find :D

Could be. :)

I do approve of the new ad print:

Taylor Cutlery, LLC introduces their Schrade Old Timer® line. Taylor acquired all of the Schrade trademarks in 2005. To bring you the Schrade name at the most afforadable price, this product is manufactured off-shore.

 Good for SMKW, and great for customers. Now if anyone buys a Chinese OldTimer on "accident", they can't blame SMKW for not being accurate or honest.
