I'm going down to Tenn. I'll be going out to Smokey Mountian Knife Works ! I'll also be going out to the Bass Pro Shop . Hope to find some good deals :D
Anything I should look for ?

ummm Whatever you want? :D
I think just going to SMKW will be a joy in itself. Let us know how it is.

SMKW is a great place to visit. Lots and lots on display.

Bass Pro has a decent selection of knives, but nothing like SMKW.

I'm planning on stopping in next week. We'll be there from Mon-Sat so I should be able to devote a few hours to the experience. I overheard my 3 year old tell my wife "dad's taking me to biggest knife store in whole world!" So I'm not sure who's more excited me, or him.

If you are looking for higher quality folders you will find a limited selection. There are Buck and some Spyderco. You will find a lot of slip joints from a number of makers. But by and large, the selection there has been slipping towards the inexpensive for some years now.

Something they do have is a very good selection of Swiss Army knives.

And be sure to look through the knife museum.

I was there last week on vacation. They had a few high dollar folders, mainly some Mercwerx & Zero Tolerance. Some good deals I saw were around $150 for a Spyderco Lil'Temperance with a SE Leaf Blade, and a Emerson Mini CQC-7B with a Black CE Blade for around $140.

I picked up a Victorinox OHT/GAK.

They have a great selection, once you find it. When you get near the area, ask for Earl the Squirrel or Vito the Scab. They'll show you the alley. Over by the garbage bins you'll find an old screen door that doesn't close entirely. hat's the entrance. Inside you'll see Fat Georgie, who sweats a lot, smells like garlic and doesn't look you in the eye. He's generally seen eating a steak and cheese. You won't get much from him, but ask for Vinny.

Hope you guys find it okay.

I was there a month ago while on vacation. I love that place and yes i checked out the sak knife section and went upstairs and looked at the knife museum. Its a great place. I wish i lived closer to there. Long ways from Ms.
