Sml Seb detent question

Hi fellow CRK fans, have a quick question regarding my small 21 please.

When closed, it has very little resistance in holding the blade inside the handle. The blade falls out with very little inertia as opposed to my new large 21 which is nice and tight. I don't know if this is due to the knife being more "worn in" compared to the large one or if there is something wrong with the lockbar. Although I'm pretty sure I haven't ever over-extended it.

Ofcourse the ideal thing would be to send it in to CRK to have an expert look but I'd rather try to figure out if there is a fault before sending it in as I'm in the U.K.

All my other framelocks are drawer queens and are hardly worn in but the small 21 is fairly worn in so I don't really have much to compare it with. :foot:
Does anyone else have the same issue with their sebenza or is this normal?

You can try cleaning the detent hole.
As it's fairly small, any little bit of dirt can cause some havoc with the retention.

Thanks jfn I've just checked the detent on the blade and gave it a clean. The detent can actually be felt when the blade is near fully closed and it does pull the blade closed but it's still quite faint. Don't know if that's normal though. If it's only supposed to be faint. As I mentioned my new large 21 sits very tight inside the handle but maybe because it's new. Does the detent wear in a little after time or remain absolutly the same in feel as when new?

There's a CRK authorised retailer here in the U.K. which I might just take the knife into as they must have handled many more sebs and be able to tell if the knife is faulty or not.

I think it probably hasnt changed much since new. I have had a few framelocks for quite a while and there was no change over time that I noticed. Most likely it was always pretty weak.
