Smock Rattle?

Anyone else experiencing a rattle after tuning their knife. I swapped the bearings out on my smock and have a constant rattle when the knife is closed. Seems to be the stop bar. Was thinking of putting some Vaseline on one end to see if that keeps it quiet. Idk. Anyone else dealing with this?

I just posted a similar question on the Canis the other day. Got good advice to grease the stop pin, but in my case a drop of oil did the trick. Apparently floating pins do this, as opposed to stepped pins. Taichung uses floating pins for some reason.

Stop pin that’s what I meant lol. Thanks so much. I have some scales on the way. When they get here I’ll try greasing the stop pin

Mine developed it when I tried to adjust the action on it. I'll try the fix and report back.

Drop of frog lube did nada...tried a little wd40 and the rattle stopped when the knife is open and decreased when closed.

Yep, almost certainly the floating stop pin. I've had good luck with heavy grease (I use the same stuff for flashlight threads) and also with sliding a very small piece of something that won't attract moisture -- like a folded-up bit of plastic bag -- under one end.

I was able to remedy it with a touch of Vaseline on each end of the pin. Nice and quiet again.
