I'll be in my bunk.

lmao! :D

Your knife was the inspiration for this one! Thanke for posting the link, I really like that knife.

I like it. Thick, s7, chop chop

Thanks!

I think I'll out this up for sale tomorrow, I'm asking $275 if anyone is interested! PM/EMail or let me know here...

Sale, you say? Could be my new EDC?

You're a bad man, Daniel Fairly. Very bad man!

Here you've been filling my head with Titanium Dreams of Anodized Angels in a Carbidized Heaven- and then you pull this thing out. If I have to go get the change out from under my couch cushions for this, I blame you.

If I get up from my nap this afternoon and this big bitch isn't taken, I'm all over it like Rosie O'Donnell at an all-you-can-eat cake buffet.

:D I make it tough! Titanium Dreams of Anodized Angels in a Carbidized Heaven will be next! :D :D :D

Ah, screw it. Gimme the damn thing. :D

It's yours! Thanks

Glad I didn't see this till after Bako had grabbed this one. I'm saving for Damascus 'dashi and 'poon tip folder.

DAMN! That's one hell of a blade! Love the mirror edge on that, and I'm a big fan of the chisel grind! I've not seen a blade that squared off in a long time, I'll admit, I've always been interested in that shape.

Well, now that I finally have a big boy knife, if any of you guys want to get a pass-around going, we can fondle each others' Fairlys!

Damn! Beastly piece. Good work : )
Much appreciated!

Come to me, my Pretty!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHHHHH!!!
:D

Good news... I have a Harbour Freight Chop Saw coming in for the Damascus! I got the billet and it was so big I couldn't cut it with my setup without wasting a bunch... I think with the new chop saw I'll serve the billet justice!

Thanks! Chisel grinds rule!

The upside of the square blade is that you have two cutting edges... really nice for cutting open boxes, fine work and more.

I was scoring kydex today and left my preferred kiridashi in the shop. I used a drop point folder at first to score it but it seemed hard on the knife and I just couldn't bit into the tough Kydex. I grabbed a tanto and it worked great! I used the second tip/end of the main grind, it has a lot of power to it.

They are also easy to sharpen. I always recommend stropping anyways, that is usually all they need.

 Good idea... I want to do a Carbidized Ti knife pass around, I think a lot of you guys would enjoy checking one out.

Yeah, you never know...one might just pick up a sheath here or there, at random. ;)

I just had an awful realization...

Now I need one like Matilda's, so they can ride together in a piggyback sheath.

The horror. THE HORROR!!!

Ha, I thought you would use a hack saw. Put those Yeti muscles to work. Get back your back porch knife making roots.

The only accessory my knives need is more of my knives! Lol and a keychain tool for light prying... hatchet too of course. And a DFK folder... :D

Lol I really was going to! I grabbed a new blade for it, looked at the mill and thought... why don't I have a real saw? $59 with a coupon... :D

I want to save up and get a good metal cutting bandsaw or maybe a portaband/stand setup but this will be great for now. I still grind many of of my knives to profile.

A band saw with a quality blade will probably be quick for rough profiling. You could profile with the band saw, make it maybe 1/8th oversize. Grind the final profile. I was taught that a saw was usually the quickest way to remove a lot of extra stock.
