Got the CAK, now to figure out what exactly to dp with it. BTW, my wifes Grandfather went into cardiac arrest yesterday and has been unresponsive ever since. In ICU @ the hospital and started having major seizers. No brain activity at all and unresponsive to anything. Machines keeping him alive ATM. Keep us in your thoughts, as this is out of our hands now.

They are removing my wifes grandfather from life support tomorrow morning. There is no brain activity at all per the MRI and numerous brain scans they have done. His wishes were to not live like he currently is. Funeral will be thursday or friday. Your thoughts and prayers to your respective Higher Power are greatly apreciated during this diffucult and morally challenging decision his wife is having to make.

Moved this from the FS thread, so that respects can be properly given.

Sorry to hear of this, Discusman.
Our Condolences. Smoke and Prayer for your FIL for a peaceful star journey and also for you and your family.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this, DM. I lost my grandfather in quite a similar way a week and a half ago. Smoke and prayers. He's moving on to a better place.

I am sorry... Rest in peace, DiscusMan's father in law, and peace to you and yours, dude.... Peace.
David

Carol was removed from life support at about 12:00 pm today. As soon as they took him off he passed on. No struggling or pain anymore. His wife and him have been married since she was 13 years old, so needless to say she is devistated. He did not have a living will so she had to make the decision for him, which makes this hard for her. They were married for over 60 years which is an ever increasing rarity these days. Carol is in a better place, just keep Helen in your thoughts and prayers because we are all very worried about her now. Monday was her birthday, and today is Valentines day. I'm going to give her a nice khukuri as a present because she loves knives as much or more than I do! The only thing she collects more than knives is guns. You know how the backwoods North Carolina folks are. Anyway thank you all for all your thoughts, prayers, and smoke sent up for us. This is the only place I know of that so many people of differing religious beliefs can pull together and support each other, due to a single common interest. Sad that the world as a whole cannot seem to follow the example of the Himalayan Imports Blade Forum family. Thank you all again.
