An old work friend I've known for 30 years is in need of some smoke and prayers and I come here 'cause you people have an unbelievable gift of bein' heard by the powers that be, collectively you all are a force that can move mountains so here is his recent FB post as of an hour ago this mornin', please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers if you could.

My wife is in critical condition. She has been in a coma since Saturday afternoon. Honey, being Honey, and home alone, was doing something she shouldn't have been, and fell backwards from a chair onto a hard slate floor.
She was rushed to Morristown Memorial Hospital, where her condition deteriorated rapidly, due to an unusual amount of brain swelling (rare for a fall from only that height) and a subdural hematoma. The surgeon removed a section of her scull to relieve some of the pressure, and also removed the clot.
The prognosis is not good. The swelling was too severe and has lasted for too long. Honey was always very active and would not want to be permanently incapacitated. Barring a miracle, we will soon have to withdraw life support. Please send out positive thoughts and/or pray for us.
