My middle son’s best friend. Comes from a broken family and has lived in my house more than his own parents’. Rose above his misfortune and was set to graduate with my son this May, with a BS is electrical engineering (with honors).

Critically injured in a high-speed motorcycle accident last Friday night. Other driver was at fault and fled scene. Only witness chose to render first aid instead of chase down other driver. Thank God this witness was also an Army combat medic. He has even come to the ICU to visit him.

Michael was wearing a helmet and full protective clothing. Small fracture at base of skull, brain contusion, fractured left eye socket, fractured left rib, punctured left lung, right arm fractured in two places, fractured left femur. Left shoulder, clavicle, scapula, and humerus all shattered. More cuts, bruises, and abrasions than I could count.

He is in an induced coma most of the time, and holes were drilled into his skull. Brain pressure has been good and eyes responsive except for one brief period on Sunday morning; but doctors want it to be stable for another 72 hours before they go in to repair fractures.

He opened his eyes for the first time this morning, and followed the neurologist’s instructions, i.e. move toes and fingers, blink, etc… His vitals jumped when he saw my wife's face and heard her voice; she has been more of a mother to him than his own.

Please pray that his condition continues to improve, and that he makes a full recovery.

Thanks.

Prayers sent for a full recover for Michael, family & friends. We love you

Prayers for Michael's healing. Please do keep us informed of his progress.

My thoughts and prayers are with Michael, Your Family, and his Friends.
My prayers are also with the Doctors and Nurses.
Thank God that the Army Medic was there at the right time, A REAL HERO.
As bad as things are right now there are a few things that will make a difference in His RECOVERY.
He is young and bright, and He is surrounded by people that care about him.
Medical Technology is on his side also.

Smoke, prayers, and positive thoughts. I hope things take a turn for the much more positive.
