My daughter has been in the hospital since Monday night (08/10/2015). She had a 104 fever, headaches, nausea, and major abdominal pains. She had to be put under morphine to control the pain, Ibuprofen for the fever, and Zofran for the nausea. It's now under control, she's on no meds, and has started smiling and playing again.

Problem is, the lab results do not match what they think she has, so to err on the side of caution, they want to do more workups tomorrow morning to make sure it's not anything serious. Right now, they believe it's just viral, and that she'll be fine with a little more rest, but the labs results are puzzling, so we are staying another night to be sure.

My wife and I are so tired, we've been with her 24/7 since Monday night, and we haven't had any sleep since, just taking turns with catnaps every once in awhile, and a lot of coffee.

Smoke and prayers for a clean bill of health, and let us take our little girl home, and no more needles.

Coming at ya! It's really tough watching your kids suffer. Hopefully she makes a full, and fast, recovery.

Smoke, prayers, positive thoughts, coming your way my friend.👍

Sadly nothing ever happens fast in a hospital, sometimes because they have to wait to see results or reaction to medication, other times just no big hurry.

I spent the weekend and monday in the hospital with my mom for much too fast heart rate, got her home and she's fine now but frustrating sitting around.

Far worse with your little girl.

Tell her if she don't get well right quick like bawanna is coming down and gonna give her a big wet smoochy kiss right on the smackers.

I know she's gonna be just fine but smoke and prayers on the way, they certainly never hurt and some for you and your wife as well.

Best wishes from California. Smoke is a bit complicated with all the dry grass around.
Just some practical advice, my neighbors daughter had appendicitis and the docs missed it and she had to go back and then it was almost too late. Easy test is let her jump. If it pains like crazy you know what's up.

Otherwise the symptoms read like what my 2 monkeys just had. Fever, especially hot at night (104) tummy pain and throwing up, no other cold symptoms. Basically Viral and fine after 4 days.

Yup. Sounds very similar. They've ruled out an appendicitis, and confirmed mesenteric lymphadenitis by CT. Lab results are a little "off", so they want to rule out any oncological issues.

Prayers sent for her and for you and your wife as you go through this with her. Keep us all updated on how she's doing.

Prayers on the way. As a parent having a sick child is on of the scariest and most frustrating things you can experience. All you want to do is take their pain away.

Another stick of incense is lit and prayers are on the wind. Here's hoping she gets well pronto!

We just got home. The docs cleared her tonight. We have a followup appt with her primary on Friday, So far, she looks good though.

Thank you for the well wishes, prayers, and smoke.

Now to grab some sleep, before I join the walking dead.
