Smoke and Prayers Needed

A friend of mine (ex from highschool) has been in the hospital for close to a week now. Imogene had been on Estrogen due to her having Turners syndrome. She was found to have developed two blood clots, one in her leg and one in her neck. :eek: They think that the Estrogen played a large part in the clot development. She's also developed a cyst in her one kidney that has been bleeding for the past few days due to the anti-coagulant meds they gave her for the clots. She's had to have blood transfused and earlier tonight she was taken to the ICU so they could try to stop the bleeding and save her kidney. She's already had to have dialysis done at least twice now.

Any thoughts/smoke/prayers would be greatly appreciated as she needs all the help she can get. :(

Thanks to everyone for their support. I talked to Imogene a while ago and she is out of the ICU. They've stopped the bleeding in her kidney and her blood level has stabilized. She's going to have dialysis again either tonight or tommorrow but she's been producing more urine today than she had been. She's also able to sit up some and eat without throwing up. Will keep everyone updated.

It's tough to have both clots and bleeding - treating one invariably makes the other worse. Glad she's feeling better. Smoke sent for continued progress.

I talked to Imogene last night and she's scheduled to be discharged tommorrow or Friday. Her lab tests are a lot better and she hasn't had to have dialysis for several days. Thanks again for all the smoke and prayers.
