I'm not one to normally ask.

But it looks like my mother is getting some test results tomorrow for some blood work.
And the receptionist let slip something she shouldn't have. It looks like my mother may have a form of leukemia. She'll be able to find out after talking to the doctor tomorrow.

She's already made it through one cancer. That almost did her in. Could really use some smoke and prayers that she'll be okay.

Thank you all.

Much smoke up rose! Sounds like Mom is strong having done this once already! Good luck on your side never hurts either!
Good one phillll!

burning a fire for you man, smoke and prayers-- also keep in mind that there are more treatments for leukemia than almost any other kind of cancer-- and being a blood cancer there are probably more drugs and procedures for blood cancer than almost any other kind. there is even talk of a retrovirus engineered to cure the disease outright. Do not give up hope, research good treatment centers then do what you have to do. technology on this has grown by huge leaps in the past 2 decades

Thank you everyone.
I guess we'll find out today what the results are. I know we've come leaps and bounds in treatments, so I won't give up hope if they give us some not so good news.

Smoke and prayers here as well. We anxiously await a favorable report. And never ever, I mean never give up hope.

Do everything you can to prove them doctors wrong. Give mom a big hug and a smoochy kiss right on the smackers from bawanna. Let her know we're thinking of her.

Smoke and prayers from the SF Bay Area. Keeping a positive attitude is some of the best medicine there is, I'm a living example.

Diagnosed with stage 4 non hodgkins lymphoma in 1986, was only 14 at the time. Docs gave me 9 months. There had been no other survivors at 14 with that type of cancer, at that time. I fought and thought of nothing but graduating from High School for my mom, and here I am, now 46 years old. I was the first survivor in California at that time for a 14 year old non hodgkins lymphoma patient.

Keeping your mom in my prayers!
