Lately it seems like I've been trying to dig myself a deep hole and crawl into it. I'm sort of having a hard time getting back out since the opponent is myself. Details are a bit lengthy to post, but I guess you could say I've lost my 'get up and go', motivation, or what have you.

Anyway, some smoke or good thoughts sent my way would be appreciated. If I can somehow manage this next month I think things will start to look up.

Thanks, folks.

-Ross.

A young warrior was captured and tossed into a deep hole. His enemies began throwing in scoops of dirt, thinking to bury him alive. At first the warrior was terrified and filled with despair, surely he was going to die, and there were none who would come to his aid, no help to be had. But then he thought about his family, his friends, his homeland, all the things he loved and had sworn to defend. He had a purpose, and a man with a purpose does not die, helpless and afraid, at the bottom of a hole. He chose instead to live, so he calmed his fears, steeled his resolve, and as each scoop of dirt fell on him, he shook it off and stamped it under his feet. Scoop by scoop, inch by inch, he began to rise up out of the hole. His enemies, seeing him thus rising from the earth, fled in terror, thinking a man who could not be killed must surely be no mortal man, but a spirit. The warrior went on to live a long life, and fulfilled his purpose with courage and honor. But, he never forgot that dreadful day, or the terrible ordeal he'd survived, survived because of something so simple as a choice.

Smoke and prayers headed your way Ross, but if you already know you're the problem, then you already know you're the solution. ;)

I know what that's like when your get up and go has got up and went but go catch up to it and get it back.

Graceful tendrils of sweet incense, rising in a perfumed cloud ...

Hang in there, Ross. You just did the right thing.

The healing power of the goodwill here will work.

Smoke and prayers send. I should strongly urge you to visit a medical professional about it. Sometimes some medical support can give enormous relief. I am going thru PTSS myself now and i would like to give you that advise.
It's not a sign of weakness to ask for medical support going thrue a dark phase.

Best wishes

Ross, I've seen many of your posts showing intelligence, humor and kindness and you are good people.
I'll send up smoke for you and ask Linda to add you to her prayer chain.
Reading your post, for me, is looking into a mirror.

Hang tough, Russ. Tough times are tough. You just have to find strength in others and, more importantly, in yourself. We're here and you're not alone in this.
