After a few months of fever and pain in his bones the Dr's in Canada finally authorized a bone marrow biopsy. Result came back with a rare disease called Myelofibrosis. Life expectancy at his age (40) is 10 years from onset of symptoms. There are some new meds proving somewhat effective and the option for transplant so we are keeping hopeful.
I'm going as soon as I get the appointment to see if I'm a match to donate. I deeply hope I am if the meds don't work.
