I never thought I'd be doing this. First such request.

I just found out that one of my friends was shot by an armed robber last night at the store she runs off Colfax. Still do not have any details. Apparently she refused to hand over the money and was shot once in the shoulder. Her condition has not been released, the store is closed, and I'm not able to reach her or her husband. I am worried about her.

Smoke and prayer request for a quick recovery.

Just got more details a little while ago. Last night, about 15 minutes before closing, the robber came into the store wearing a hoodie with a bandanna over his face, waving what was probably a .cheap 380. There was a customer in the store and he took that guy's wallet, then she gave him everything in the cash drawer without any problems . . . but he wanted to lead them both into the back room at gunpoint for some reason.

She thought he intended to kill them so she grabbed his gun and when it went off it hit her in the upper arm and he ran away. About a half hour later someone else was mugged at gunpoint a few blocks away and it might've been the same guy.

Bullet passed through clean without breaking the bone or severing any arteries or nerves. Brachial artery is compressed for some reason and they were doing a second CAT scan to see if they could figure out what's going on with that. She got real lucky.

Well, I just got a call from her and she said the doctors told her there is a 98% chance she'll recover the full use of her arm within a few weeks. She has a bit of tingling and numbness but everything works. Looks like she's going to be okay.
