This is the first time in my life I've been scared for my health. I've been eating healthy and exercising for 18 months, and now I have what seems to be a big kidney stone. Blood in the urine, chills, great pain, the works. I'm doing as the doctor says and go for a cat-scan tomorrow. So far no fever or nausea, thank God.
I could use some good thoughts and smoke from my fellow Cantina members to get me through the next couple of days.
Thanks gang.

God Bless! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Brother, you have got it.

Healing smoke returns to you tonight.

"You can do this. Stay strong and best of luck." -MBE

Back at ya with interest.

So, you're in very good health and now notice problems. That is good. Early detection is very helpful in treatment of most everything that can do a body harm.

Kidney stones are treatable!

Prayers from Montana.

Two true stories (shortened versions)

~ One of my teachers has a kidney stone. He is in agony. Goes to the Dr., gets all the tests, extremely expensive medicine, possible surgery (says no way to that). Nothing is working.

He goes to Chinatown, finds an herb shop, asks for anything to help kidney stones. Man behind the counter reaches behind him, pulls down a bottle labeled, literally, "kidney stone dissolving pill." $3. Works like a charm. Stones are gone within a week.

~ I have a Nasty wart on my toe (you can make fun of me later). Nothing will get rid of it. Same thing as above. Go to Chinatown, "got anything for this" (standing on one foot, holding the other up above the counter, surrounded by old chinese women all leaning over to see). He reaches behind the counter, grabs "Armadillo Poison Pills." Wart is gone within 2 weeks.

The Chinese know the human body, and they know their medicine.

The cantina is one of the most closely-knit groups of stand-up folks that I know. And I'm glad to be a part of it.

Bamboo, I just might ask my Chinese co-workers to check that out. For now I'm going to rely on the good health insurance I have at this job, another blessing to be thankful for.
I've got a 100.5 degree fever, so I'm waiting to hear back from the doc.

Smoke Sent.:D

I don't know if it's available in your neck of the woods but I'm pretty sure that the local hospital we got to when need be has a device that lambasts the kidney stones from outside your body into pieces small enough that you can pass them. I don't recall whether it's radio waves or what but saves surgery and from what I understand is pretty pain free.

I've had one kidney stone but fortunately wasn't aware that I even had it until I passed it one day at work.
Kind of scared me at first; I went in to pee and then there was a little burning, some pain, and then a "Ting" as the stone hit the urinal wall.
After that I passed a little blood and that was that. What scared me mostly was that I had just started a new job and my insurance wasn't effective yet.
When I got home I called my Dr and told him what happened and he called me in a script.
I took the medicine and haven't had any more problems.
Hopefully yours won't be too severe either. The smoke will help! :D

Good luck...

I think I'd rather have the surgery myself...

Smoke going up for you tonight! Here's praying for a quick and painless recovery for you.

Take care and please let us know how it goes.

Norm
