You are the greatest bunch of people on these forums. Maybe you can move God's heart and mind.

I posted an identical request in the Community Center for Colleen - my wife’s best friend and one of the most adorable people to have graced this planet.

She is 44 with 2 children and no insurance.

She was just diagnosed with incurable stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She had no risk factors.

Sometimes God just doesn’t make sense to our limited human minds. Only He can heal her now.

Smoke and prayers with all I have for your friend. That's a bad cancer to have, if there is a good one to get:(

Cancer doesn't make sense. My father-in-law, who just passed away from metastasized cancer through out his body, said that cancer is an evil. Not a metaphorical evil, but an honest to God trial for our body and spirit. Watching the effects it has on people, I tend to believe it.

It is a thief. It robs you of your body. It grinds on your soul. It crushes your lofty plans set decades into the future.

I have no idea how spiritual your friend is, but my father-in-law saw "beating" his disease as simply living the best he could in spite of his prognosis. In the end, he knew that it would cancer that would most likely take him from this earth. However, for 8 years he battled and truly lived more than most of us would. How many things do we put off? How much time do we feel "promised"? Fighting this evil disease really puts our obliviousness into perspective.

DRM, once again, your friend has all my prayers and smoke. There is always hope in some regard.

We are sending smoke and healing prayer up today for Colleen and her kids.
So many in our family have been touched by this badness. Our hearts go out to you in some hope for goodness.

~~Smoke~~ and ~~Song~~ for Colleen, her children, and all who love her!!!!

:grumpy: Cancer sucks. That comes from someone who has only experienced it peripherally. I can't imagine the anguish of those who've felt its effects closer.

Prayers and hopeful thoughts for Colleen and all those around her.

Thank you all.

The radiologist was wrong. The oncologist said the cancer is in her abdomen, near the pancreas. It had spread there from her colon. Given her age and excellent health, the prognosis and survival curve are better.

Also, she does not have health maintenance insurance; but she does have catastrophic health insurance that will cover this.

Your prayers are being answered. Keep'em coming.

Thanks again and God bless all of you.

Great News DRM!!!
Tell her all of us here are sending much positive thought, smoke and prayer her way.
Quite a few here, as you've seen, have been touched by this insidious disease and will do as much as we can to help see her thru this.
Also give her and the kids our love and best wishes!

The Power of prayer, smoke and postive thoughts CAN work Miracles.
