In a lot of his videos, he says that his knives that he sharpens are somewhat "superior" than most other knives in terms of sharpness. Does anyone have any experience having a knife sharpened from him??

(Not trying to call out his skills, I'm expecting positive reviews)
 
I dont have anything sharpened from him but I think he is just saying he gets them sharper than the factory edges.

Yeah I think so too. He uses a wicked edge and you can get some stellar edges off of that system. Much better than most edges you will get from the factory.
 
Smokey is one of my favorite Youtube knife personalities. He does use WE just because he likes the sharpest edge possible. He has great taste in knives.
 
I love his channel. Very likable guy and fun to listen to.
 
I've never had a knife sharpened on the wicked edge before. I might try to get in contact with him for some sharpening
 
We have a member named Richard J who sharpens knives for members. He is a professional sharpener. Just in case you want someone to do it. Smokey probably just sharpens his own knives, unless he has branched out from stoves.

Smokeeater908 stated his edges he gets on the WE are far superior then factory edges......

He is one of my fav YouTube guys as well. His 3 part video on the WE helped me get sick nasty edges on the WE as soon as i got it :D
 
I had about given up getting a perfect edge on my WE system, but his videos helped me get over the hump. He is one of my favorites too.
 
You could also look at getting a knife sharpened by jdavis882. He's also a YouTuber and he also uses the Wicked Edge.
 
Thanks for the support guys, videos on YouTube are fun and they are sometimes informative but more importantly they meant for people's enjoyment. I do love the WE and I do feel like the WE will help you put a far superior edge on most knives that you acquire. I mean hell I just bought a Shirogorov Custom Hati at Blade this year and had to bring it home and sharpen it because I did not feel it was up to my standard of sharpness, oh and by the way it was S90V as well LOL!
 
I did a trade with him and he sharpened the super commander on his wicked edge, it had a fine edge on it so yea, he's got skills
