I got a folder from our own Mike Cooper, aka l6steel. This folder is on par with any folder I have ever handled and used. I really think it is a beautiful knife and the workmanship on it is second to nun. Pictures coming as soon as I find a place to host em and get my new camera figured out. J Mike has really come a long way in his knife making and this folder really shows how great of a maker he has become. I have to say this is one of the smoothest opening folders, if not the smoothest Ive ever handled, and the fit and finish are flawless. Not only that but it is really a good-looking knife, and very handy size and shape. Its a real pleasure to hold, very comfortable. Mike great job on this one, keep up the great work.

I'll try and get some pics as soon as I can. I haven't had much time lately and the wife took the camera to a wedding today. The handle slabs are Maple burl, and the bolster is TI witch has been heat colored. They look very nice togather. The knife its self is long and slim very atractive opened or closed. To tell you the truth when I recieved it my wife took off running with the knife and said to me, "This one is mine." And she isn't even a knife nut. I had to promise to give it back to her so I could even take a good look at it.

Bill, there's not a doubt in my mind that this knife from Mike is everything you say it is. Keep in mind that Mike has been making knives for a long time, plus he's had access to some of the top makers in the world on this forum as well as Chat. Mike is very modest as well as being very critical of his own work. As well as being a very generous soul.
IMO, the only thing keeping Mike Cooper from being top name knife maker is confidence and focus. He has everything else he needs.

Phil I guess I would have to agree. I have a fixed blade from Mike's earlier days and it's a very good knife. However, this folder of his I have is amazing. The blade grinds are dead on, finish is amazing, and the hole knife design works wonderfully. Anytime my wife lets me see it I keep looking for flaws in it and cann't find any. Mike's skills are right up there with the best of them.
