Wow, very nice. The grind really shows with the flat finish! Are you thinking what I think you're thinking? She's not going to end up on the Exchange with those other NOe of yours, is she?

I had one once, but sold it, they are one of the first ones made, that is all I know.

The first batch of Ergos out of the factory were all flat finish.

I would need to look at my notes to see how many of each I received.

You might want to see who has saved the posts from that time period to see who on the forum got what.

When I first saw the title of the post I thought you meant Shiny(Satin)

My wife has a Satin Finish NO-E.

She does like shiny Busse knives :o

Thanks for the info guys, I've never seen any like this one that's why I asked. And yes she could go up on the block.

One of mine is smooth, flat black finish, but with tan handles. It seems to me that Chip had one too.

I like the looks of the smooth finish. I'm sure this has been answered before but which is more durable, the smooth or crinkle?

Great looking knife and I've not seen many like that sell.

I don't know if durable is the right word but the crinkle finish has a longer life. The reason being that the crinkle finish will smooth out first before it starts to wear off. Since it is smoothing first it will have a longer life than a knife that started with a smooth finish. I hope that helps.
