what are the odds that at about 1:30 i started wanting a him imp katana, then i check the forums and yangdu posts one, then the first post was jay swooping in before i could buy it on impulse?

25 minutes ago i didn't want a sword. i guess i should thank you?

im still debating to get this model or get a decorative one like dave rishar has... :confused:

if you don't get it, that means someone else did. I don't mind, i should be thanking you. i try to keep tellin myself that i'm not a collector. i was havin a weak moment from lookin at the brkt northwind. Great snag if you got it.

but im just waiting to see what happens with this model...
lets just say no matter what happens there will still be a katana available for someone :cool: either carved horn decorative or standard smooth handle horn.

this is the kind of curve id like to see.
the handle should follow the sweep of the blade.

Don't remember seeing one like that... Now if they'd just make a villager katana with nickel-silver hardware, smooth black horn handle and satin blade.... :D I'd really like that.

YAY!!!!! looks like i got it :D
yangdu is the greatest... i am truly in her debt for this one.
 
Really nice! My second katana a few years ago has a smooth wood handle just like this (satisal), but the blade is pretty straight. This has a beautiful curve to it. Mine also does not have a full chiruwa tang.

Luckily I have a carved horn handle kothimoda katana that has a full tang, and it is curved and balanced very nicely. It is actually slightly heavier but feels lighter because of the balance.

This is a nice snag. Don't recall seeing one like this before.
