Smooth Micarta Handles and Sex...

I was looking for something to protect the micarta when I came across an old bar of surfboard wax.

The micarta did get slick when wet so I figured Mr Zog's stuff would do the trick. Works just great.

Any other options to improve grip and protect handles?

I think that pretty much says it all. Micarta doesn't really need protection. I suppose a sacrifical coating like wax might give it some UV protection (why not use Coppertone?)

The wax certainly will improve the grip if you are using it underwater.
