Smoothing a Buck Strider? Teflon Washers?

I've been working on this Buck Strider lately. I smoothed and radiused the scales a bit to make it more comfortable to carry and work with and polished the B.B. blade around the pivot, but there still is a great deal of friction preventing a smooth opening.

The knife is built with a bunch of thin copper washers stacked on each side of the blade around the pivot, but I think they're preventing a smooth action. Do you think I can get some Teflon washers to replace them to make it smooth? Where would I find something like that? Any other ideas?

How smooth is yours?

My BS is nice and smooth, after some adjustment.

You might want to adjust the spacer screws if you can't adjust the smoothness with the pivot screw. Everything needs to be parallel for there to be the best fit. See the recent thread on blade wobble for more information.
