smoothing down g-10

i have been interested in smothening my kershaw skylines handle(clip side only)because of the grippy g-10 eating away at my pockets so i was thinking about maybe sandpaper,is that a good idea?yay or nay?thanks:thumbup:

Wet sand with some 220 grit. That should do it.

I agree, wet sand paper. You really don't want to breath the dust from G-10 or Micarta.

Take the knife apart and sand the G10 in a small bucket of water to prevent dust.

good advice, fiberglass dust can be pretty bad for your lung.

On my ZT I used a norton flat stone to knock down the ridges then a drywall sanding sponge to smooth everything out. I did this in the sink under running water. You may need to rub in some 3-in-1 or WD when your done.
