Hello,
This is one of my current projects I'll be making available when it's done, a big Bowie forged from 1/4" 52100 ball bearings and 1080 powder steel that has 4% nickel content added. (The blade is only finish ground in the photos, not hand sanded so the photos are just a sneak peak of the pattern; the finished product will be better.)
The blade has a distal taper and convex edge grind.(10"-11" blade length)
I'm thinking a forged steel guard/pommel on this one with maybe African Blackwood for the handle. IMG_5888.JPGIMG_5901.JPGIMG_5887.JPG

Saw this on YouTube earlier.

I have a blown Graham forge from Atlas. I've not lime it with Flux proof lining. No attempts at forge welding yet.
 
That looks great!

I would just be concerned that, if I put it down somewhere, it would just roll away on account of all those ball bearings. ;)
