If yall are bored yall need to google this. It is the funniest stuff since... well... I am drawing a blank.

Just imagine Samuel L. Jackson as an FBI agent protecting a witness on a plane full of posionous snakes... all he needs is a Kobra...

Dave this is going to be THE movie of August. Just to sum it up for those that don't know much about it. "Snakes On A Plane" is the working title for a second rate probably straight to video script. The story goes that Sam Jackson saw the title and said, "I'm doin't that." Once an A-list star dropped into their laps they started pumping more money into the movie. More horror, more violence, more nudity, to get an R rating...and Yes, they did reshoot a few scenes so that Sam will have a line something to the effect of "We got snakes on the mutha *&^^%&%in' plane!" It's so much guilty cheesy pleasure that they kept the working title of "Snakes On A Plane".
Oscar material it is not. Good cheesy fun at the end of blockbuster season it is. I'm seeing it opening day:D

I never expected to see this turn up here, of all places, but I would've bet money that it would be Dave Rishar if anyone to post about it. Guess that's some money I saved.

Snakes on a Plane took off as an internet craze a while back, which eventually prompted the reshooting to add a few scenes to the movie.

Good thing I have my plastic cold steel metal detector proof "knife!"

Now I can be a tactical snake killing operator ninja.

I was quite surprised myself to see it here. Next thing we know, everyone's going to be shouting about copy pasta or something. What is this world coming to?

Am I the only one who actually sees a half decent actor in Samuel J ?
It sounds like a fun spoof . I just think he is capable of more . I,m not talking Willy Shakespear . Something with a bit more bite to it .
No Dave not snakebite ! L:O:L

Kevin, Sam Jackson is a great actor. However, I feel that his "range" has pretty much been wrapped up in a number of movies. Basicly, he plays a great angry guy. The degree at which he can make an angry guy vary is amazing. He can be the cool angry guy like in Pulp Fiction. He can be the revenge thirtsy angry guy In A Time To Kill ("Yes I did it, and I hope they burn in hell'). He can be the racist angry guy like in Die Hard With A Vengence.
i LOVE me some Sam Jackson. He's a great actor and really makes a movie fun. However, I would love to see him do a film where he can go the entire 90 mins without raising his voice. However, this is his type-cast. You don't hire Sam to be subtle:D

Has anyone ever seen the spoof that Dave Chappelle did of the Samuel Adams beer commercials. Only they called it Samuel Jackson beer. At one point one of the guys asks something to the effect of, "Do you have to keep yelling at me?" Where Sam Jackson (played by Dave Chappelle of course) answers, "OF COURSE I DO! HAVEN'T YOU SEEN ANY OF MY MOVIES!?! THIS IS THE WAY I TALK!":D

He is a good angry man and that is supposed to be an easier role to play .
There is a Savoir-fair that runs through most of his roles that goes beyond being a cool dude . I don,t know if it is similar to Dennis Quaid,s :The Big Easy: I was kinda looking at Ellen Barkin most of the time so its hard to say .
It may be up to Samuel to define himself . Peoples druthers being what they are and not knowing his cash flow he might be happy where he is . I know if you stuck to your guns and laid out cash of your own a role more to your taste may come your way once in your career .

However, I feel that his "range" has pretty much been wrapped up in a number of movies. >>>>>>>> Steely

That's it. The Art Farts love him, Hollywood loves him, and I even like him, but I've seen about all the Jackson I can. I get it. He can kill people. He says hard driving truths in Pulp Fiction. He got de street and he can meet. But they've overexposed him. Jackson plays well against whiney white suburban boys, (who just happen to be buying the tickets to Pulp Fiction) but the words ad nauseum sum him up if he doesn't stop and put himself in a different context.
Still, a movie Called Snakes on a Plane is instant good cheese success. I hope it is worthwhile.

I like him too, but you are all so right, IMO, concerning his limitations (he simply fits that certain range of character best).
I purchased the DVD "Rules of Engagement", which just like the rest of his film acting, is classic Samuel L. Jackson.

When I saw previews for this latest film, I did say to myself........... "Boy, he really is going to some cheesy levels".............. LOL! :)

Don't know if I'll pay box office prices to see it, but maybe the rental will end up in my home ;)

I saw the Dave Chappelle spoof on S.L. Jackson, and sure enough, funny as all get out. Another favorite of mine is his spoof on Rick James and Eddie Murphy's brother,.............. man I roll on the floor laughing every time on that one :)

That one was hilarious JJ. I love Dave Chapelle.:D
