I just got my new NMFFSH back from the shop, complete with snakeskin scales! I got one of the last sets available from a box that was found in the back of the shop! Garth said if you call him today, you might get a set!*

Well looks like Lexi lied to me again. I asked 3 or 4 days ago about snakeskin and she said no :(
 
I didn't get them from the shop, I swapped them off of a CGFBM. I wish that there was a secret stash of snake somewhere
 
How's the standard grips feel compared to the magnum style?

I always like the thinner profile.
 
The thinner scales on the thicker knife feel a lot better than the mags. I have fairly large hands, but with the nearly 3/8" stock, the mags were just too big. The CGFBM feels better with the mags than the standard thickness too, so the happy medium is somewhere around there.

For me, .27 and under feel better with mags, any thicker than that are better with standard thickness. There are exceptions though, I like thin scales on my SHBMs, and mags on the Fusion. I'd like to see what Ergo mags would feel like, but the standards are nice on those too.

I've never taken a shine to the Ergo line up. I wonder how mags would change the feel.

I know Bill did. He had about 15 knives done in it. Word is that Bill is a greedy ol bas*** and hogged what little was left
