Snap buttons

I have had a Becker and a couple of Cold steel sheaths were the snaps buttons were WAY too easy to flick off, which I found irritating. I like a nice crisp snap. On my SRK I just gave the male end a couple of moderate swats with a hammer and I got nice retention. I over did it on another and I messed it up. So I got a 7 buck snap kit from Walmart and put new retainers on. I have never done this before and it was incredibly simple and easy. I also replaced a useless rivet on another sheath with a crisply satisfying robust snap. They cost nothing, are easy to install, go for it.

Nice fix. Hammer and anvil is the way many sheath makers started out setting their eyelets.

Is there a tool that removes the defective snap?? Ultimate noob stoopid question I know but I've got a couple that need this treatment too. The snap on my San Mai Gurka is light as a 2.5 lb Glock competition trigger rig.
