Hello gentleman.
I have a Spyderco Snap It serrated in Aus-8 that I may have purchased 20 years ago. I don't use it much, it hangs on my trout fishing vest. (Man I need to go trout fishing more!) However...
When I bought it as a naive young man, I had no opinion on blade grinds. Now, I'm comfortable saying I prefer a flat grind over full serrations. Before I do anything drastic, I was hoping to tap into your experience. Would it be a bad idea to take a file and file down the blade to a smooth grind? Or should I just leave it alone? I really don't have any plans to sell the knife. I've had it for so long, I would like to keep it but modify it to something I would use more often.

What say you??
