Snare wire and some of its uses

Thanks for the good info without making me listen to you talk too much!

lol what type of brass wire is that? 24 guage and can i just get it anywhere. i have never snared before but am curious about it. and really good books recommendations for books on snaring, ohhh and off topic but how about edible plants also

A guy on another forum said he found 24ga brass wire at Wally World for 3-4 bucks. As far as a book I don't know of a great book on snaring. AFM 64-4 has some good info on the subject though. Thanks for all of the kind words guys.

nice vid- thanks :) "snare" wire is one of those things like duct tape- very multi use

stainless steel wire works well too (corrosion resistant)- you can find in almost any gauge

for carrying I found a metal sewing bobbin works pretty well and gives you a nice compact bundle

I'll have to play around w/ the little figure 8 end -never saw that before :)

I thought if I wore that hat it would make people think I had skills.

While we're on the subject of snare wire....where do you find stainless wire. I've looked at Lowes builders, Walmart, Michaels, etc. and can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Ace hardware carries 19 gauge ss wire, I found the 24 gauge stuff on line- Beadalon is the brand name- a carry a bobbin of each
