Twice this week I thought I'd secured a new Left-Hand Large Regular Sebenza only be informed by two different dealers of website inventory errors.
The first time I'd actually completed the on-line purchase, it wasn't until the next day that I received an email informing me of the error. The dealer was apologetic and tried to make it right by offering me a deal on a Classic, but I'm only interested in the Regular. The dealer's since updated the website to prevent this from happening again.
The second time I decided not to rely on the website's inventory status and called to verify stock. At least I saved myself the added disappointment of actually placing the order. Unfortunately this dealer hasn't bothered to update their website.
I guess I should consider myself lucky as I managed to actually snag a new one a couple of weeks ago, I was just trying to get at least one more.
I sure wish Chris Reeve hadn't discontinued the plain Regular Sebenza; for those that preferred the Classic to the Regular, the 21's still a good option.
I own a couple of 21's and they're great knives, but they just don't feel as good in my hand as the Regular.
Hey Chris if you listening, how about setting aside a couple sets of large regular slabs before they head over to be milled out for inlays; I'd be willing to split the difference in price between the plain and the wood inlay version just to have a couple new plain Regular's
