Bark River's long awaited Scandi knife will finally see the light of day. :D

Here's a sneak peek at some of the knives in production:

Oh man, those are beautiful. Any other pictures? I'm getting in line for one of these right now.

I'm not fan of that type of fixed blade but if I was, I'd be on that like white on rice. BRK makes some quality knives.
I wonder what the sheath will look like? BRK's come with excellent sheaths.

Interesting. I wonder what the tangs look like given that they're managing to pull off a hidden tang in micarta.

I'm not sure how it's done but you can see the hidden tang protruding in this blow-up of the photo of a knife in an assembly vise.

Thanks Mike. I am one of the folks who was really excited about this early on and then forced myself to put it out of mind because of the delay. But they look GREAT!!

Yeah I can see that they must be using a pommel nut. I'm guessing the tang itself is probably a parallel-sided stick so they can just drill out the the slot.

Wow, absolutely beautiful! 3V with synthetic handle materials and a hidden tang looks great!

I'm a sucker for this style knife. I don't care for puukkos or other scandinavian knives where the blade is significantly narrower than the handle where it enters it, but when the top and bottom of the blade meet the top and bottom of the handle like this one...the knife is a work of art.

Hands down the best looking Bark River in my book. I can't wait to purchase one and see how they feel. I have a feeling this is the knife that will cause all of my others to end up in a dusty drawer somewhere.
