Been awhile since I posted anything here, so thought I'd share a few pics showing what I'm working on. This is not a WIP thread. The next pictures you see will probably be of the finished product.

Looks a beautiful slab with lots of characters, Phillip
What type of wood is that?

I'll take it :)

me too! me too!

Sorry, guys, this is a custom order, and so, not for sale. But I'll keep you both in mind. :)
Oh no! I can't even make an order for such a beauty! It's a NO NO NO to our customs people! No import for any type of weapon! Not even for a wall hanger :(

That looks like it was a joy to grind. :)

Oh, it was! In fact, every part of this knife was a joy to make. :foot: :barf: But I like the finished product. :)

It's Arizona desert ironwood. It better be a nice piece, at $40....

Hope you get your customs issues sorted out soon. ;)

Very, very nice! Kinda like Celtic leaf sword meets spatha meets gladius meets medieval cruciform sword -- with a touch of good ol' ironwood thrown in for good measure. Excellent blending of forms and styles, IMO. That would look awesome with a matching ironwood scabbard with damasc throat and/or tip.

VERY nicely done Phillip!!! If you can get the blade to pop like that in a pic, I can only imagine the shimmer in hand.

I really like the nice transition into the round pommel... something subtle in line that's not so subtle to pull off.

GREAT KNIFE PHILLIP!!! :)

Phillip, You really nailed it with that one. Fantastic looking knife and so well done!!

I was thinkin' it looked a little familiar until I saw the pics after you etched, what I think, is some of the nicest looking Damascus I ever saw.....outstanding, Phillip!!!
