Sneak Peek from Fiddleback HQ 04/14/2015

This week's edition of sneak peeks from Fiddleback Forge! Cool stuff (as usual) - but the Mid_tech production knives are in full swing! If you havent been following, after the launch of the Bushfinger Mid-Techs .. just around the corner is the Hiking Buddys and Runts. How do they find the time you ask? Andy has been working 6 days a week to meet demand. I dont know about you guys - but 6 days a week? One week - maybe .. week after week .. er, no thank you. Maybe 20 years ago, but I need a break every now and then. While the Bushfinger wasnt my (personal) thing, these Runts and Hiking Buddys are well worth it.

And other 'insider' news .. start looking for some super-dooper-special editions with file work on the spines. Judy was sprinkling fairy dust on an A2 Bushfinger today and the file work is absolutely Kool and the Gang!

I've been wrong before, but I'm pretty sure Orange. You don't see Red liners on new stuff unless they've changed things up.

But I gotta say, that black on black stealth with orange liners is both cool and rare. I love this combo.

I love it too. I have an an EDCII that is black on black with green liners and a tapered tang. I think it's a sweet combo. Really dig that knife.

I figured a couple would appreciate that particular combo .. especially the rarity - which is why included a spine pic. DH, the liners are Orange. Andy doesn't seem to use Red .. has something to do with the material (red stuff) being inferior something something.

I appreciate all the effort that you put into documenting things at the shop week after week. It is fun to see certain knives progress from blanks to pre-glue-up to shaping & grinding to finished. I lean toward tapered tangs as a default choice, so the spine shots you take are very helpful to my decision making process.
