Stopped by Fiddleback Forge today to pick up some of my recent acquisitions and found the front door locked up tight .. so I stepped around to the back door to find the entire Crew (Fiddleback Forge & Fletcher Knives) breaking a sweat! Andy was handle shaping, Judy was packing up everyone's FBF knives for shipping, Ken was entering the Tuesday Ben offerings .. and Dylan, Allen, and Adam were working at their perspective stations. Tuesday is also 'glue up' day for some of the upcoming Friday batch and I was able to snap up a couple picks. Enjoy!

Left side is for natural pins ..

Right side is black pins ..

Left side after handles/pins attached .. ready for clamps.

Right side getting some clamps .. psst: that Patch Knife looks to have gotten some wicked nice Ironwood Burl.

Great Bud, it's only Tuesday and already I have to sweat about which one I'm going to try and shark...

Thanks for stopping by today Bud, good laughs and storys as always!

I enjoyed the pics. Cool to see the knives coming along. One question for the FF guys: what knife is 3rd from the right in the first pic? Looks like and WAS knife? I could be mistaken....

Thanks Bud for sharing these photos. For those of us who don't make knives, it is enlightening to see how many steps go into the process. I work in a manufacturing environment, so I understand that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. Still, seeing the in-process photos makes me appreciate Andy and the rest of the crew even more because of all the hard work that happens behind the scenes to produce those wonderful knives that we all lust over on Fridays.

On a similar note, maybe you should do a step by step photo shoot of your process for making a sheath. :thumb up:

Thanks,

Phil

That sounds good on paper, but my process .. I'm sure it looks like a garbage pale kid with a 5lb hammer trying to pound a square peg in a round hole.
Confusing and Ugly.
