Another installment of undercover brother at the Fiddleback Forge ..

The shop was full with a bunch of a hustle and bustle, Judy & Adam were absolute chatterboxes all day and Ken was sweatin like cRaZy!!
Talk over lunch about the new upcoming MidTech Fiddleback line was pretty interesting. Cant wait to see how those all come together.
Lots of cool knives coming up this week or the next couple weeks. It was mentioned some special ones were getting set aside for Black Friday!!

Wowsers! What an awesome batch. You sir have all the fun! I hope to make it to the Forge when I come back to the U.S. in a couple of years. Thanks again for sharing.

Good stuff. Some great looking wood pieces; that bocote is amazing and some stellar burls on the way.

Must be awesome to check out the process and handle upcoming knives every week. Thanks for sharing.

Some times it's sensory overload. The coolest is when Andy hands me a knife he just finished shaping the handle. It's still warm from the belt grinder - but especially with the wooden handles, the connection to not only ergonomics but organic feel of the wood is instant. The best feeling knife in hand (to me) this week was the African Blackwood - 4th from the right in Knife Caddy #2. It fit my hand like a glove.

Bud, Great pictures, brotha! Thanks again for the cool thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the great pics, as usual, Bud.
What is the knife sitting horizontally at the top of caddy #3?

Once again I am amazed by all the cool knives coming up! Great photos as always Bud!!

I am going to send you some blue painters tape with my name on it to stick on a few of them next week.;)

When are we going to get the photo tour of the Jou'Fuu leather shop?

Bud
Woot!!!!!!
Thank you my friend, we always look forward to your sneak peeks.
The dyed blue hunter??? Dang that is sweeet

Always my pleasure.

I figured you'd like that one or the box elder green one .. btw, if you cant read that painter's tape, it says; "Claimed by AR". It took me a minute to figure out who is this 'AR' guy?

I was yelling at my phone when I read that :D
Yes the green is stellar!

I'm glad that you like doing it because I really like seeing this. Thanks again! Plus I thought I heard the echo of the old grail keeper when I read the blue tape.

Wow!!!! I've gone over the pics like 100 times.
Is there a Fiddleback finance department I can call.
Bud, thanks again!!

Wow. How did Andy steal van Gogh's Starry Night and put it on a fricken knife handle? I don't normally like burls, but WOW. I would kill whoever "AR" is for that one.

Can someone tell me why all the tips are blue?

Thanks Bud!

Additional Random Thoughts (ART ™ by thurin):

Dylan has a huge batch of goodness coming.

The WAS GWB looks like something I could seriously enjoy.

I would gladly trade some of my 6'6" height to Judy if it mean I never had to ride a roller coaster again. I hate those things.

Blue Tips = needing finishing grind from Andy.

Few more select pics ..
