Sneak Peek from Fiddleback HQ 12/08/2015

Sunny and mid 60s today in Georgia. Hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner. The crew was hard at it - everyone dusting up their corner of the shop. Cool stuff coming down the pipe (new model, favorites, and hard to come by's) - not only Fiddlebacks, but there's also some very nice ones from Osprey Knife & Tool, W.A. Surls and Fletcher Knives.

Andy shaping handles .. and it was a still a little chilly in the grinder room.

Found this one sitting on Andy's work table. Andy said it was old (rare) pattern of which he's only made a couple. "Something-finger". Little-finger, Middle-finger, Pull-my-finger. I can't remember the specific name. Anyone else see the potential in this one as good addition to the 4" blade line-up? I mean, not this particular knife cause it's ugly as homemade sin .. and now has bonafide's cooties .... but other than that, I thought it was a really nice pattern.

No prob. Tuesdays are a pretty fun day for me too. Except for the 2 hrs I sat in traffic on my way home. That part wasn't fun. lol .. but it's typical Atlanta.

Also, after looking over the pics a few more times, I have to say that there is so much awesome stuff coming out of the shop from everybody. 3/32" taper?! Palmers and Big Palmers?! OG Hatchula?! Please and thank you! :thumbup:

3/32" Scandi-mans and a Tapered Tang Woodsman too .. but I missed getting pics of yesterday's 'glue ups'. There were some special goodies in there too.

Allen said a couple of his Palmers are headed to The Knife Connection .. so keep an eye out for those too.

This is all awesome news. More Woodsman is fantastic! There also looks like, what could be, a scandi KEB and Arete in there.

Yeah, New model. It was designed by Andy's youngest daughter. Doubt that one will be available on Friday - but Andy seemed to really like the pattern, so I would think more might get made. :thumbup:

I personally think that Andy & the gangs work is top notch and those ULTRA FINE pieces prove it!

Thanks Bud! I appreciate all the time and effort that you put into these threads. It is nice to have a window into what's coming up. There are a lot of very attractive knives in this group (from all the makers) for the sharks to fight over this week or next. It should be fun to watch.
