You all really do listen to your customers! So how do we order them? :D

For those of us who are not in the know, what's the difference between the tactical line and the regular line?

You can't order them yet, these are just prototypes. Not much is likely to change, but these were just finished recently, so they're not quite ready to take orders yet. Keep an eye on the Swamp forum this summer--these aren't too far away. :)

As to the differences:
The original line has Resiprine-C handles fully enclosing hidden (but full) tangs, just like the old Busse Basics. Resiprine-C is a very hard meterial, not at all like kraton or other 'rubber' handles in feel. It's durable, immune to most common chemicals and easy on the hands, and as of right now there aren't any plans to drop it.

However, due to many requests, the SRT line is coming out to give people the option of micarta scales. These new knives are the same steel and geometry as the old line (except for the Satin Rat, which has no old line counterpart) and will carry the same full guarantee. The SRTs will be slightly more centrally balanced due to the extra metal in the exposed tangs and the weight of micarta. The integral guards are more pronounced and the overall grip shape is slightly different. Just part of the Swamp's devious plan to bring more users into the fold. ;)

NICE!!!!

Will they cost much more than the regular line? Is there a release date?

If the pricing that was stamped on the blades was correct, then they are very affordable. That Satin Rat was a joy to handle, and my fiance sure took a liking to the tan one. :D

Here's the price list. They will be coming out in the upcoming months, with hopefull all available by the end of summer.

BRT-$198.95
CTT- $178.95
Satin Rat- $138.95
