That was just plain mean, also I do not think the UG is a Jack Variant.

No it isn't. But there are similarities between 'em...roughly 6" blade, similar style but not overly so, and it might be the closest that we could see to one until...well, who knows but Jerry?? I believe that it's an HG55 variant without a bowie grind. :)
