Well I have finally gotten around to taking a few pictures of some details I am making for one of my more ambitious little projects to date.
I still need to put final touches to these details, including etching all Damasteel , before asembling them.

Although I appreciate doing most of this by hand and with the occasional use of a Dremel, I would really like to have a lathe or a milling machine!

Any guesses as to what these things are? :)

Interesting Magnus. I have no clue what they are, but it is easy to see that the craftsmanship is exceptional!

:)Well, you have me scratching my head as well. I spent some time studying this but have no idea why something needs a hinge as well as four cables. Very impressive hand work no matter what the parts fit.
 
I have no idea what these pieces are for, but I am sure of one thing.... it will be awesome
 
I'll submit that Magnus' sheaths are as elaborate as his knives. I'll bet the capturing system on his sheath is part and parcel of the mechanisms.

Whatever it is will be well-worth the viewing. Outstanding artistry and workmanship so far.

The hinge is correct, but no pulleys... :)

These things have been ready for a while, I just thought I take a few pictures and "line them up" for more work later on.
As you know I came down with a bad cold about a week ago so I have been uanble to do any meaningful work for many days! :grumpy:
I tried to work on a "certain" knife but I felt too unfocused to dare to do the finsihing touches...
But things are finaly starting to go the right way :)

Very nice! Love the steel! It's hard to tell from a picture. Did you start with a jelly roll?

Anxious to see the finished display box.
