Noticed yesterday that the edge on my Endura 4 was pretty trashed so off to my Wicked Edge and Sharpmaker it went. Now I admit this particular knife is kind of my red headed stepchild as far as my Spydercos go. It's the one I grab whenever I know I'm going to be cutting open bags of cement, mulch, Red-icrete, etc. Those nasty jobs that I know will take a toll on the edge and require a good flushing out and cleaning of the knife when I'm done.

At first I chose it for these tasks because I didn't want to risk messing up a more expensive knife. Sad I know but true. Later I noticed I was picking it more and more because it did the jobs I required of it very well and not just because it was "cheaper".

Anyway, after a few mintues last night with those two systems the VG-10 was once again shaving sharp. When I was finished I left the Endura laying on the counter. This morning I was leaving for work and grabbed it on my way out the door. No plans on doing any mulching or concrete work just a regular day, one on which I would more than likely have grabbed any number of knives that cost many times more than this one.

Somehow it's managed to go from my redheaded stepchild to my EDC, at least for today. Anyone else got a sneaky little monkey. :)

for me its My opinel #7.
Usualy its a buck vantage but sometimes the opinel jumps in on the way out.

Mine is my Manix2 in CTS-XHP. I usually like to carry a large blade (Military/Gayle Bradley) and a smaller one (Dragonfly/Spin). I sharpened up the M2 a while back on the Edge Pro and got it screaming sharp, on my way to work one morning I grabbed it and there it has stayed for the last month. I do still carry a smalled knife, currently it's a Skyline Damascus as a back up.

Psst...wrong forum for those knives ;)

Guilty of using my lower end knives for more "dirty" work.

For me my D4 has been getting tons of attention.
Main reason being it has been put through an EP4 Apex.
Very confidence inspiring when your D4 has a screaming, air bleeding, mirror polish finish!

Well, for me it has been a CPM-D2 Para-Millie. I bought two of them when they first came out, along with an S30V model. As I was so used to the Military, the Paras ended up languishing in a drawer all this time. I was lubricating some of my Spyderco knives and decided to give a shot to one of the CPM-D2 Paras. It smoothed out so nicely, that I shoved it in my pocket and it has been creeping back there ever since. Now I feel like an idiot for not giving them a chance before now. :o

Endura was my first Spyderco. Bought a second last year and was my EDC. Got my para Military2 today. It will be my EDC now. Will still use my Endura on boat and in the garden.
