Whoa - nice display of schnakewood there, Dennis.

I never seem to be in the right time and place to reel-in a good full-figured one, but I'll keep trying.

And LOL, displaying that lovely #12 toothpick with its pen blade open (rather than the usual shot of the master blade) is uniquely You. :D

Another great grouping there Dennis, Hey...What are the differences between the Toothpick, and the Powderhorn?...just the pen blade?..or are there quite substantial differences?
The dogsleg is such a cool model isnt it?..and in snakewood it looks just dandy.

the snakewood is even more beautiful in person.

BTW, Dennis, your collection just jumped in value. Snakewood has skyrocketed in price recently and the price of knives will reflect it. :)

Another fantastic showing, Dennis! GEC seems to use some really fine snakewood. I can't imagine how they must look in person. Beautiful

Dan

A nice tribute to a beautiful and durable handle material, Dennis. Great knives used to display it also.

Exceptional grain and striping on those snakes, more like a tiger or tabby! Very well chosen and presented knives thank you.

duncan the powderhorn differs only with added pen but i.m.o. it ruins the slick weight & carry of the regular tooth. correct me if wrong but are'nt tooths supposed to have a single blade ? the powderhorn is about as heavy as the 2 bladed scout.--dennis

That snakewood is pretty handsome stuff. Thanks for posting the picture.

had to slip in an abalone so we would'nt be too woody.

I was wondering why that was there :D.

It looked like that was the only difference, and yeah..toothpick definitely means single blade.
My toothpick is one hell of a knife, the blade is getting more patina'd all the time, and the opening has eased...I just love that knife. I only have 3 G.E.C's and yet everyone is in my top 10 pick. :D:thumbup:
I recently bought a G.E.C dogsleg - smooth bone..wow, I haven given it the pocket use it deserves just (yet), but the design is near perfect.( near I said, as there is always another knife I havent seen or handled around that corner )
