I just purchased my first Strider. Got an SNG DGG in Ranger G10.

Fit and finish is superb. Blade is perfectly centered when closed. I was a little concerned when reading a lot of the comments about this knife especially when people commented on fit an finish issues, but this particular one has exceeded my expectation. I actually can not see how the quality can be improved.

The gunners grip in really nice. It gives a nice grip, but not overly grippy.

Another surprise was the weight. The specs show it to be 4.5 ounces, but I weighed it at 3.9 ounces. The drilled out scales probably account for the weight reduction.

I have cut a couple things today, but can not wait to really put this knife to use.

I also wanted to thank So-Lo, Archman and some others that I can not remember right now. Their YouTube videos on the SNG really helped me decide to buy this model.

CONGRATS on the SnG!!! I sold off the two I had... including the CC that was on the Seb vs. SnG review. Honestly, I don't miss it a *whole* lot, but do look forward to getting another! I'm probably just gonna go plane-jane with the next one... LOVE the pics! The GG looks NICE!

Adamar,

I've carried an SnG for six years or so as the primary knife in my EDC combo.
The ergos of this knife are perfect for my aged and diseased hands.

I own two and have found them to be excellent knives for this purpose. Mine have performed perfectly.

The SnG will do anything you can reasonably ask such a knife to do.

Strider's warranty and sharpening service is top notch. Mr. Strider stands behind his knives.

You have made an excellent choice.

I always wanted a Strider folder. I held off on buying one cause I heard how "rough" they were with their fit & finish and when I went to shows the ones I handled were Not smooth to open and the lock was always stuck. I recently purchased a Strider PT CC and was pleasently surprised. It took a few days to break it in. Now its as smooth as a Sebenza. My next knife will be a SNG.

I got the exact same knife two days ago, same color too. I have a coyote tiger striped one also. I LOVE MY STRIDERS!!!!! the green DGG will never be sold, congrats to you bud, you got one hell of a knife, that will NEVER let you down. STRIDER ROCKS!!!

Great knife - love mine! I removed the pocket clip and edc it in an office scenario. I was worried about spending so much and not wanting to use it - that hasn't been the case. It begs to be used.

The more wear the cooler the knife looks!

I read that Strider said the SNG’s are not going to be available for quite a while after this last run was made.

Good thing you got yours. They are a great knife.

I spent a while trying to decide between the Strider and a Sebenza. One of the factors in my decision was the wear marks. Wear marks on a Strider fit with the knifes style and do not bother me. It will allow me to use the knife hard without worrying about scratches and such. The Sebenza is such a "pretty" knife that any scratches would probably bug me. I still plan to also by a Sebenza later this year, but will probably not use it too hard so it stays nice.

I was lucky to get a Striker with no noticeable marks on it, so all of the wear marks will be my own.
