Recommendation? SNG

Most striders don't go for that low. Very very possible it's a clone and the clones aren't worth it.

Also they aren't for everyone. I hate carrying mine. The butt end is too big in the pocket. Plus my has horrible action.

Also know striders history. Just look up stolen Valor.

I'll be a little more specific about the pricing. New it retails around $500(maybe $525 now). Used usually sell around $400. In a bad market $350. The only ones I have seen as low as that need to go to the shop for serious work, such as blade replacement.
These prices vary with condition of the knife and market, but that still leaves a huge gap between normal sales prices and the one you mentioned. I suspect clone.

Trivia for ya... SnG was named after the Delta snipers who died defending the Blackhawk pilots in Mogadishu.

Shugart and Gordon.

Oops. Been almost 20 years since I read the book.

There is a nice condition Strider SNG CC grips locally for $200. Is it worth the money? Thoughts?

If it’s local and real, it’s a hell of a deal. Whomever is selling it may not know how much they go for today. Talk with the seller to see if he’ll do a refund if it is a fake.

Yeah the butt end on striders is rediculous. The SmF is a like a bad joke. A deep carry clip can atleast hide it but it is freakin huge.

Best if OP could try the folder out before making purchase. The low pricing may indicate issues with the folder. I myself was once a Strider owner, but it was a SmF, Gen 2 IIRC. What made me sold it was that it has developed issues with lock stick and centering. Unfortunately, I am located overseas which also makes sending the knife in for servicing difficult. It I was in the USA, that would be a different story. A SnG would be the ideal size for edc IMHO and being the CC version makes it even easier to edc compared to the standard SnG.

I would buy an SnG for $200 all day any day. Then again Ive owned several... like 6-8. I currently have zero because for the price I have other preferences and have a fairly shallow monetary well when it comes to these things. Also I could 100% tell if the knife was legit or not. Again, if it was legit I would absolutely buy it. Thats only a few cheeseburgers more than a Para2!
