While researching knives online I just stumbled upon a custom knife maker called Sniper Bladeworks. And their knives look unbelievable. Absolutely beautiful. But they are rather pricey. But I still want one.

Does anyone have experience with this brand ?

They make top notch stuff . I agree a bit pricey for what you get but then again nobody puts out a product like they do . The design is very unique. They have two collaborations with Boker ,the S2 and the DH,both in Boker's Boker plus line. The Bokers are not in the same league as a custom from Sniper Blade Works but either is the price.

I have an LPC and I am happy with it. No blade play in any direction, solid lockup and premium blade steel. Very ergonomic and gives a unique cutting angle in the hand but is a large knife. I picked mine up in the exchange here for a good price - not sure i would want to pay full price though.

I would give an arm and a leg for one. The people that make them are just as good as the knives.

I cannot warm up to the croooked blade design on some of their stuff. I'm sure it's fantastic for some folks, but for me they are on the do not want list.

IMO, they are art knives. Very nice knives, but there are more practical tools available for the same price.

Have you hanled any in person?
How do did you come up with the art knife opionion?

I have owned several SBW knives. I can say they are tuff tools for sure, built by great people.

Not my style, and I think they aren't for many because I have seen some steep discounts on the exchange.

My lpc is one the way! For a true custom (everything is hand ground, you get to pick handle materials, blade shape, blade steel, and finish) the price is easily justifiable. Their warranty is great, IF you can somehow manage to damage their knives.

I think I'm going to try Sniper. The look of their knives really appeals to me. And the materials they use seem to be great. I'm just a little hesitant spending that much money on a brand I'm not very familiar with.

I found their designs interesting, but their pricing distracting. I'm a little hesitant to spend that amount of money on a brand that I am familiar with. For me that is more in line with an investment than a purchase. I decided to get the Boker Plus S2. Though it is but a distant relative to a pure bred Sniper Bladeworks model, it was engaging enough to earn my money. The S2 has not disappointed in the least. I find the ergonomics to be right on for my XL hands, and at Bokers much friendlier price a nice addition to the fold.
